About a century ago, black holes were predicted as part of Einstein's general theory of relativity. After initially being dismissed as a theoretical curiosity, we now know that black holes are even relatively common and that they can assume almost unimaginable dimensions that dwarf all other celestial bodies. But what use are they? And do they perhaps even pose a threat? >This Science Café is a hybrid event, so our guests have the choice of participating live on the DESY campus or via zoom.
