Edgar Weckert
X-ray structure physics
Edgar Weckert studied materials science at the University of Erlangen and habilitated in the field of crystallography. In May 2000, he became a leading senior scientist at DESY. He took charge of the PETRA III project in 2004. He has been a member of the DESY Board of Directors from January 2008 to December 2023.
