What we offer
The offers of the HR Development department are addressed to all target groups at DESY - to employees from science, technology and administration with their diverse and international background. We are happy to provide confidential counseling on individual development needs, qualification and training offers that support the goals of DESY as an organization. We want to support the development of talents and abilities at DESY.
HR Development Offers and Services
The aim of HR development is to develop career paths and to support employees in their professional development. There are various development and support services for the different employee groups. For example, postdocs are supported in their career development by the Career Center COAST with individual career counseling and targeted networking and training opportunities.
HR Development offers leaders specific support such as networking events and peer counseling. We help shape future mobile hybrid forms of work for all employees. We welcome new employees with a Welcome Day and help them in adjusting to the new environment at the institute.
Furthermore, we coordinate the obligatory annual appraisal interviews at DESY, which encourage a regular exchange between leaders and employees about their work together.
One component of HR development is our internal training program. We offer a wide range of courses for both leaders and employees, designed to promote both professional and personal development. In addition to training courses and workshops in the areas of social, communication and methodological skills, we also offer language and exercise courses. The training department offers seminars in German as well as in English in order to do justice to the international workforce at DESY.
The topics of equity, diversity & inclusion are important for DESY and are a central basis for the work of the HR development department.
