   Short description of the project the student should work on  :
   
   Z+jets at low transverse momenta
   We will investigate events with a Z-boson and jets to verify the
   low pt jet calibration. Real events are selected and compared 
   with Monte Carlo event simulation. The pt-balance of the Z and the jets
   will be used to determine Jet calibration factors.
   In addition we will investigate effects coming from multiparton
   interaction and pileup events

   Physics: Understanding of basic cross section in particle physics,
   how pileup events come about and multiparton interactions
