Gerald Kirchner: The Iran Nuclear Deal - Are international treaties still important ?
Since more than a decade there is a strong debate about a suspected nuclear weapons development program of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was largely settled by the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, often called "The Iran Nuclear Deal", but raised again after the U.S. President last year suspended it.
This talk addresses the way to this agreement highlighting the evidence for a nuclear weapons research before the treaty and its comprehensive control regime implemented by the IAEA.
