In 2006 - 2007 I started with colleagues from DESY and Lund a discussion on multiple partonic interactions (MPI).  We wanted to test the models of MPI, find experimental means to separated MPI from initial and final state parton showers and wanted a relation between  MPI in ep and pp interactions. From these first series of workshops, the MPI@LHC series developed.

I was chair of the International Advisory Board of the MPI@LHC workshops from 2011 - 2015, in this period proceedings of the MPI workshops were released, most of them were collected and edited by me.
