Measurement of beauty production using events with a muon and a jet in ZEUS at HERA Beauty production was measured with events in which a muon and a jet were observed in the final state with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 114 pb-1. The fraction of beauty quarks in the data was determined using the distribution of the transverse momentum of the muon relative to the jet. The visible cross section for beauty production was determined. Differential cross sections in Q^2, p_T^mu, eta^mu, p_T^jet and eta^jet are presented an compared to next-to-leading order QCD predictions. The beauty contribution to the structure function F2, F2b, was extracted and the result is compared to theoretical predictions.
