Extended scalar sectors after the Higgs discovery

Tania Robens (Rudjer Boskovic Institute (HR))

The discovery of a particle that complies with the properties of the Higgs boson predicted by the Standard Model by the LHC experiments corresponds to a milestone in of modern particle physics. Although many of its properties have by now been measured to percent precision, current data still leaves room for models that extend the scalar sector of the SM by additional particle content. Furthermore, there are various observations that cannot be explained by the SM alone, a prominent example being dark matter. I will discuss several models that extend the scalar sector of the SM and lead to novel signatures at current and future colliders, including models with a dark matter candidate. I will touch possible signatures and parameter space interesting for both hadron and possible future lepton colliders.
