   Short description of the project the student should work on  :
We plan to work on 8TeV pp collision data, taken with the Atlas experiment. Our analyses are based on the dileptonic ttbar final sate, in which 
we perform top quark properties analyses. In particular, we work on top quark polarisation and the ttbar production asymmetry.
The project will consist of 
- try new variables for the differential measurement of the ttbar asymmetry, and the study of top quark polarization 
- participation in ttbar selection with 8Tev, e. g. background studies and tests of MC.

   Physics / Computing/ Engineering  Content of the project :

- working with ROOT
- top quark physics (top properties)

  Special Qualifications expected from the student ( Computing,...) :
 - basic knowledge of C, ideally also C++
- some basic knowledge of ROOT would be preferable, but is not required
