   Short description of the project the student should work on  :

   The student will work within a project dealing with an optical
   inspection system OBACHT (Optical Bench for Automated Cavity
   inspection with High Resolution on short Timescale) used for the
   inner surface analysis and surface quality control of superconducting
   radiofrequency (SRF) cavities.
   The work will include optimization of the system, participation in 
   tests of the cavities from the XFEL serial production process and
   the ILC HiGrade program as well as processing of the images and 
   optimization of the automated image processing tools.
