Science and Society Initiative at DESY2nd Round Table Discussion on Situation in Belarus

A Ryanair plane was forced to land in Belarus by the authorities on 23 May, and a journalist, R. Pratasevich, was arrested. Since then several countries launched sanctions against Belarus.We want to hear the latest developments and discuss the situation of protests, following our first RoundTable discussion on April 7. We will hear also about repressions against Belorussian academic community.Our aim is to give people on the DESY campus a platform to discuss this issue at a round-table and to share their opinions about the situation. We will discuss its possible consequence for the world politics and science.
