QCD and Monte Carlo lectures
This is a lecture series which I started in Antwerp as part of my guest professor position.
The lectures cover aspects of statistics and an introduction to the method of Monte Carlo integration. A detailed derivation of the evolution equation DGLAP is given and this knowledge is applied to derive the BFKL equation in a novel way. Aspects of higher order calculations, relevant for LHC physics are discussed.
The lectures are complemented by exercise on Monte Carlo techniques and
the basic method to solve the evolution equations with a Monte Carlo method.
